Our People
Industree Crafts Foundation and Platform for Inclusive Entrepreneurship are the voluntary secretariats for Creative Dignity.
Creative Dignity began as a movement and has continued to evolve, experimenting with network-led ways of working while remaining rooted in the values of openness, collaboration, and community-driven action.
The journey has always been about creating and protecting space for the craft sector, ensuring that artisans and stakeholders can participate meaningfully in shaping the future of handmade goods in India.
Meanwhile, we have also refined our governance framework to help us stay connected as a collective while creating clarity in roles, accountability, and support. The Governance structure also serves as guidelines that will respond as new needs emerge. They have been developed by the Steering Committee members with pathways for a fluidity where members from the Collective can become part of the governance once they become active or more invested. All positions have in-built rotation and change.
Advisory Council
Senior leaders offer guidance through experience, diverse perspectives, and strategic insight. They ensure that CD's work remains accountable and impactful.
Steering Committee Group
The voice of the collective representing the community, shaping direction, and holding the shared vision. Members from the Collective will be invited to be on some of the sub groups overseeing CD's initiatives.

Operations Team
The hired team that is driving programs, partnerships, and daily operations on the ground. This team remains lean and nimble across consultants and resources as per projects. To ensure continuity and accountability, the Ops team functions through Chair & Co-Chair roles, conducts quarterly General Assemblies and reports to the Steering Committee and the Advisory Committee.
Former Co-Chairs
Meena, and Nitin (Co-Chairs) continue to serve as senior members and voices of Creative Dignity, representing CD wherever there are opportunities and holding institutional memory.
Current Co-Chairs
Meera (Chair), along with Vishpala and Nandita as the new Co-Chairs, take forward the leadership actively for the next 2 years as current Chairs/Co-Chairs. Feel free to reach out to any of these past and present Co-chairs and Chair for any thoughts, ideas, suggestions or grievances!
